Senate Bill 394 Overview:
This bill is about helping to improve the foster care system by educating, prepping, and preparing foster parents. Many times they have children brought into their home that have horrible backgrounds that they are still dealing with. Foster parents need to know how to handle the children's emotional needs along with their physical needs. It allows them to be a better resource for the child so that they can have a brighter future. Parents are highly regarded and valued, and it should be no different with foster care parents. Many of these people invest their whole lives to help and foster children. This is a relevant problem that needs support. Supporting Senate Bill 394 is one way to work towards a better foster care system for the foster parents and the children being directly affected.
